Minimum Qualifications The candidate must have seven years of information technology experience* or project management experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
An Associate’s degree in any field may substitute for one year of experience; a bachelor’s degree in any field may substitute for two years of experience.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Portfolio Executive Director, the Business Relationship Manager 1 will be assigned to the Labor, Workforce and Education (LWE) portfolio within the Chief Portfolio Office (CPO) and will act as a client engagement manager and will be responsible for identifying a single agency’s needs to ensure that ITS is able to meet these needs as business needs and technology offerings change over time. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Responsible for intake of work requests received from the client agency.
• Understand and direct the documentation of requirements for IT services and the business outcomes client agency wants to achieve.
• Identify changes to the client agency’s work process and environment that could potentially impact the type, level, or utilization of IT services provided to the client agency.
• Identify new ITS technology offerings that could potentially impact the type, level, or utilization of IT services provided to the client agency.
• Articulate business requirements for new services or changes to existing services.
• Advise ITS technical teams on client agency’s end-to-end business process.
• Represent the client agency perspective on business requirements and priority/mission criticality.
• Identify cross-agency business and technical improvement opportunities and facilitate communication among multiple organizations and units within the client agency and with counterparts in other portfolios.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties.

Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience leading and managing diverse IT teams and projects; have strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills; and have a demonstrated ability to:

• Manage multiple client agency demands.
• Determine and execute priorities.
• Apply working knowledge of client management practices.
• Understand client agency business needs and facilitate forward-thinking solutions.
• Ensure deliverables are achieved timely and goals are met or exceeded.
