The mission of the Charter School Office is to create and sustain quality educational options for families in New York State on behalf of the Board of Regents. The Office strives to accomplish this through high quality authorization and oversight of the Board of Regents portfolio of charter schools, fair and transparent oversight of all charter schools, and dissemination of information about effective school design and practices.
