Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a Public Safety Grants Representative 2 title and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law, or a reachable score on the Civil Service eligible list for this title.
Duties Description This position is in the Alternatives to Incarceration (ATI) unit within the Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives. This position would be part of a team within DCJS providing technical assistance to funding programs as part of the State's commitment to strengthen its investment in ATI programming and outcomes. This will require responding to programs that have received funding from DCJS (approximately 130 programs). The incumbent of this position will provide action planning and technical assistance to programs assigned and to those that will ultimately benefit from the yet to be created DCJS Fidelity assessment. Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
• summarizing and interpreting information and findings for policy makers;
• assessing contract compliance and goal attainment;
• monitoring the delivery of services to ensure compliance with applicable state laws, rules, and regulations and contractual goals and objectives;
• developing, conducting, and coordinating training, including the updated Fundamentals of Community Corrections (FCC) curriculum;
• reviewing service plans and/or programmatic applications;
• analyzing program activities, gathering relevant information and statistics;
• preparing written programmatic reports, grants, and requests for proposal;
• analyzing and presenting criminal justice data and trends and review and analyze criminal justice policy, programs, legislation, and research studies;
• evaluating, monitoring, and presenting data on program performance;
• developing program specific forums;
• developing reports on criminal justice programs; and
• conducting relevant research.
• Approximately 40% statewide travel is required.
