Minimum Qualifications CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES:
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1, 52.6 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.
70.4 Transfer: Candidates must have one year or more of qualifying permanent service at the Grade 11 or above AND possession of a bachelor’s degree; AND standing on the Professional Careers Opportunities (PCO) or Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible lists.
PCO Candidates: Individuals with a score of 100 or above on the Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list are encouraged to apply.
Successful completion of a two-year traineeship leads to appointment as an Administrative Specialist 1, SG-18.
GENERAL PUBLIC CANDIDATES:

Duties Description This position will serve as the primary administrative support team member for the Workforce Development Office (WDO). The duties for this position include, but not limited to:
• Manage relations with WDO customers by overseeing the shared training mailbox and managing the WDO main phone line. Ensuring that all customer requests and inquiries are answered timely, accurately and in a courteous and professional manner.
• Serve as a primary administrator in the Statewide Learning Management System for OGS as well OGS' hosted agencies.
• Collect and analyze training data from files, systems, and other documents to assist with assessing training needs and required and supplemental reporting of training information.
• Create and distribute training related surveys, then collect, organize, and share summarized data.
• Supervise other administrative employees by prioritizing work assignments, ensuring efficient and effective workflow, and training and evaluating staff.
• Provide additional administrative support for WDO as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
