Minimum Qualifications CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES:
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1, 52.6 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description This position will be located within the Division of Construction and have the following duties:
• Process all administrative requirements for Emergency Projects for Region 2.
• Review completed scopes of work.
• Solicit bids and collect written bid quotations.
• Process required permitting paperwork.
• Prepare documents and ensure distribution to D&C Contract Performance.
• Prepare, review subcontractor and supplier authorization letters.
• Track subcontractor approvals in DCNet.
• Regional Purchasing.
• Conduct training on Emergency Procedures for other field staff.
• Prepare Construction Reports for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly meetings with Field staff and Client Agencies.
• Follow up on contractor progress payments.
• Collect, process, and organize Task and Stand-alone assignment administrative/contractive requirements, including Workload cost projection spreadsheets, Personnel Assignment forms, etc.
• Assist in responding to Construction Claims, litigation items.
• Creation and processing of consultant, construction and emergency contracts, contract supplements and change orders.
• Communication with prime contractors, subcontractors, OGS field and headquarters staff, and other state agencies regarding contract requirements, information needs and status updates.
• Fielding questions as required from other D&C personnel, OGS Legal Services, OGS Finance and other state agencies, vendors, and the public.
• Review, audit, and approve vendor payment submissions for construction, emergency and consultant contracts.
• Perform other research, analysis, documentation, or administrative work as assigned by the senior managers in the Division of Construction.
• Perform the full range of supervision for other employees who participate in the above activities may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
