Minimum Qualifications Two years of full-time, verifiable experience in custodial, grounds, or maintenance operations or assisting in a journey-level trade. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.

Duties Description Will be required to perform necessary functions for the Ray Brook Office buildings and grounds. Such duties will include:
-Daily monitoring and record keeping of water, sewer, pellet biomass system and HVAC system.
-Communicate with supervisors and staff about issues or concerns, and the corrective actions in a timely manner.
-Operate a variety hand and power tools and motorized equipment, including self propelled and stationary machinery.
-Ensure all motorized equipment is in good working condition.
-Assist in snow removal and salting using shovels, plows, snowblower and Bobcat skid steer.
-Perform daily cleaning of building offices and bathrooms including: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping ,cleaning and sanitizing.
-Keep written records of work performed and materials and labor used.
- Perform grounds and building maintenance year round including mowing, weed whacking, and trimming. Also staining and painting.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 3/31/2024. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
