Minimum Qualifications Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Long Term Care Systems Specialist 2 (Health); OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to a Long Term Care Systems Specialist 2 (Health).
Preferred Qualifications: Program/project implementation or compliance experience
Duties Description "Assist in the implement the 1115 Waiver Amendment to achieve health equity in NYS Medicaid program.
Oversee research and conduct analysis to design and implementation of social care projects, initiatives, and programs, to benefit Medicaid members, including the long term care population.
Develop program strategies to support the integration of long term care, social care services and health care delivery in the Medicaid program.
Assist with State budget Initiatives related to social care and long term care.
Oversee the fiscal administration and compliance of Social Care Networks and other social/ long term care programs.
Provide technical assistance to the bureaus contracted entities related to program compliance, data and reporting, and performance metrics.
Prepare project plans including setting up workgroups and/or taskforce with subject matter expects to inform program design as needed, plan and develop educational webinars, collaborate with appropriate units and teams to develop relevant process and procedures.
Act as a liaison and foster communication between DOH and external stakeholders, including Managed Care Organizations, Managed Long Term Care, CBOs, Hospitals and Health Systems, Consumer Groups, etc.
Perform related duties as required to support leadership and promote bureau objectives.
Supervision and training of staff. "
