Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a New York State Professional Engineer License and current registration. To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the supervision of higher-level staff, the incumbent of this position will provide support to Bridge Management Program in Region 11 Structures Group. The incumbent of this position will serve as the Consultant Job Manager for biennial and interim inspection of arterial and local bridges; directly manage the inspection consultant, overseeing all technical and administrative aspects of the project; develop and maintain schedules for inspection; review the inspection reports, flag reports, NSCO’s, and load rating updates; perform flag tracking and ensure transmittal of flags to bridge owner for corrective actions; perform Field Reviews of Inspections

Additional Comments Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations

Salary to include an additional $3,087 location pay.
