Minimum Qualifications Medical Director for the New York State Veterans Home at Oxford, a skilled nursing facility with an exceptional reputation.

License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, plus six years of experience in the practice of medicine, two years of which must be in an administrative or supervisory capacity. The administrative or supervisor experience can be substituted with four years of clinical care. Appointee must maintain full licensure and registration to practice medicine in New York State after appointment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Geriatric certification and CMD preferred

Duties Description Serves as Medical Director of a 242-bed skilled nursing facility for veterans and their dependents. Provides medical leadership for the facility; oversees all medical services; develops and implements medical care policies, procedures, and standards; and provides direct clinical care as an Attending Physician for a panel of residents. Implements and oversees medical and therapeutic programs for residents, ensuring the delivery of quality health care services while also ensuring compliance with clinical, statutory, and regulatory standards.

Additional Comments On-site work. Part-time to Full-time work dependent upon carrying a case load. Hours are negotiable. New York State wages and benefits. Hours consistent with operational needs.
