Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the natural sciences and three years of post-degree professional research experience in an appropriate field, or a Master's degree in the appropriate field and two years of such experience; or a doctorate in the appropriate field.

Duties Description Under the general supervision of a Research Scientist 3, the Research Scientist 2 will be responsible for all case management, evaluation, tracking, resolution, and data analysis for improving laboratory algorithms for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. The incumbent will also be responsible for researching and developing new algorithms and analyze data sets to optimize sensitivity of the laboratory tests. In addition, this position will work with NYS Neuromuscular Specialists to develop educational materials for parents and primary health care providers.
