Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be currently enrolled as full-time students in law school.
Preferred Qualifications: 2nd Year Law Student

Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting in handling administrative tasks such as document redaction for FOIL, compiling information from agency data sources, and obtaining information from courts.
• Performing tasks related to preparation for administrative hearings such as reviewing and identifying exhibits, drafting witness questions, and reviewing transcripts.
• Drafting responsive letters and inter-agency communications, drafting preliminary decisions for agency determinations and notices and responsive pleadings.
• Conducting legal research and writing generally and specifically on issues related to Medicaid fraud and abuse, and/or program integrity.
• Assisting with legislative and regulatory initiatives such as reviewing and tracking proposed legislative bills, drafting regulatory language and providing research.
• Reviewing closed hearings and litigation cases, preparing and indexing the records for storage and preparing all necessary paperwork.
Additional Comments Temporary, Part-Time: In-office and requires a two (2) semester commitment (i.e. summer and fall; fall and spring; or spring and summer). Minimum of fifteen (15) hours in office work per week and may need to be available (remotely) for one (1) hour for weekly work planning conference call. Flexible work schedule available for specific days/times and number of hours per day depending on student’s schedule.
