Minimum Qualifications Permanent transfer candidates: Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator (G18); OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6, Section 70.1, or Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to a Health Program Administrator (G18), HealthProgram Administrator Trainee 1 (NS), or Health Program Administrator Trainee 2 (NS). Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing and delivering trainings, either through formal training programs or job-related experience. Knowledge of instructional design principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties Description The Health Program Administrator position will be responsible for: Assessing the training needs of employees and the program area, through conducting surveys, interviews, etc.; Develop and deliver training programs, to system users or employees in a variety of formats, including in-person and/or online; Develop and implement strategies to identify, develop and retain key employees; Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs to ensure that they meet the needs of employees and the program, by collecting feedback from participants, conducting assessments, etc.; Provide support for budget, contracts, and financial management; Create and maintain training materials, such as manuals, presentation and online courses; Coordinate with staff to ensure the training programs are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.

Additional Comments Permanent, competitive, full-time. Two year traineeship leading to a G18. Transfer candidates may be asked for SSN to verify title history and eligibility.
