Minimum Qualifications Seven years of experience* in domestic or gender-based violence programs, including work in human services, government, training and education, public policy or public affairs.
OR
One year of permanent service as a Gender Violence Prevention Specialist 1.

*Substitutions: A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of specialized experience; a master’s degree may substitute for five years of specialized experience; or a Ph.D. may substitute for six years of specialized experience.

Duties Description • Develop action plans designed to accomplish project goals, objectives, and milestones.
• Proactively build a network of stakeholders to inform the project’s work.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to enhance agency understanding of technology facilitated abuse and to identify the needs of stakeholders to improve the State’s response to survivors.
• Consult collaboratively with OPDV’s senior staff and executive team to inform OPDV’s development of policy and programming initiatives.
• Support the provision of training and technical assistance to stakeholders designed to improve the response to survivors who experience technology facilitated abuse. This includes the development of curricula awareness materials for distribution to target audiences. Primary or co-facilitation of training as needed.
• Prepare written reports on project activities. This includes research of existing technology facilitated abuse laws, policies, and practices as well as compiling best practices being implemented.
• Programmatic management of grant programs related to technology safety for survivors of gender-based violence.
• Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Additional Comments NOTE:
• Travel may be required (approximately 20%), including during evening and weekends, depending on mission and assignment.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required, or otherwise demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job.
