Duties Description *Salary: $91,776-$100,248
Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the increased hiring salary and geographic pay differential. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 ($63,108), Increased Hiring Salary ($8,668), and Geographic Differential ($20,000). Geographic Differential added to the job rate ($80,248) for PS&T Grade 18.

*Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• A total of 5 hours deviation a month from the default schedule (hours before or after the regular workday).
• 4 hours a month are expected to be on a weekend day and would count toward the above deviation expectation.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate will work as a Residential Registered Nurse I case manager for overseeing a caseload consisting of Day Habs (caseload may change depending on agency needs). Float duties to be assigned as necessary by the Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 within the coverage region. The candidate must be highly organized and able to be self-directed. Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate well with other RN’s and disciplines.

Duties will include:
• Assist with medication audits and resolving any issues found, conduct OSHA audits and obtaining supplies as assigned by Nurse Supervisor 1.
• Assists residential nurses with medication pours and training for Direct care staff, as assigned by Nurse Supervisor 1.
• Provides assistance with EHR documentation, staff training, auditing of implementation as needed.
• Assists with caseload coverage during nursing vacancies. Supervises overall individual's health care needs and works with house management to implement optimal care. Assess individuals on an ongoing basis, identifying needs and provides medical follow up (work with house leadership to coordinate appointments for primary, consultant services and required tests/diagnostics).
• While covering a caseload, ensures that medications and treatments are administered according to approved policies and regulations. Provides ongoing oversight and training to staff administering medications, retraining in medication administration practices as needed and delegated nursing tasks.
• Provide nursing component to the Interdisciplinary Team. Collaborates with clinicians, team members, families, and the medical community to provide optimal care for the individuals.
• Assists with oversight of individuals when hospitalized through daily report updates, weekly visits, involvement in discharge transition and collaboration with local distributors to facilitate medical needs upon discharge as needed.
• Incident Investigation and other duties as assigned.

The Candidate must be able to perform CPR compressions on a supine individual on the floor. The Nurse demonstration of CPR compressions on the floor would ensure nurse ability to perform in worst case scenario, since we use no backboards in OPWDD.
