Salary RangeFrom $81705 to $103350 Annually
Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor’s
degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and three years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical
models and data mining tools.
*Substitution: A master’s degree in the above fields may substitute for one year of the
specialized experience. A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
Duties Description Standard Duties:
Under the direction of a Data Analyst 3, the duties of the Data Analyst 2 include but are not limited to the following:
•Produce business intelligence solutions by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports
•Manage the development, maintenance and support of dashboards based on user stories or program requests
•Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in data sources; assesses data structures and how they can be used to produce desired reports; identifying data definitions, along with the cleansing and maintenance of data
•Research new data sources and analytical tools, and recommends solutions; conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that business intelligence solutions are consistent with defined needs; ensure standards are adhered to for consistent data collection, storage, and access
•Test, validate and reformulate models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest
•Draft new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses
•Create written reports and effectively communicates/presents results
•Supervise Data Analyst 1s

Additional Comments Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
