Minimum Qualifications Must have one year of satisfactory experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping or in a business operation.* At least 6 month of such experience must be at the supervisory level. Must be at least 18 years of age and have and maintain a valid driver’s license. *Experience in a business operation must include responsibilities dealing with the public, customer service and daily financial reporting and processing.
Duties Description This seasonal position is in the department’s Bureau of Forest Resource Management, Private Lands, Utilization and Climate Section in DEC’s central office. The primary duties include assisting in the development of technical field guidance and regulations for private forest landowner programming. As needed, also aids in the development of the State’ reforestation plan and provides support to the Urban and Community Forestry team.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 3/31/2025. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
