Duties Description The incumbent of this position will assist the Cook and perform general cleaning duties.

As an assistant to the Cook, the incumbent would be required to prepare meals for groups following approved recipes and menus prepared by the Cook; serve food to groups; clean up following
preparation, including all cooking utensils dishware, flatware, surfaces and equipment. Storage and rotation of food order stock, and any other duty as assigned by the Cook.

General cleaning duties can include wiping down surfaces, dusting, mopping, waxing floors, shampooing carpeting, laundry, vacuuming as needed and other duties as assigned by the academy director.

Additional Comments This position is located at the Park Police Academy within the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

The candidate will be required to provide information for a background check. Appointment to any position will be contingent upon successfully passing this background check.

OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
Requires familiarity and experience using commercial cooking and food prep equipment such as: slicers, convection ovens, large mixers, dishwashers, deep fryers, etc.

Requires knowledge of and adherence to general provisions of the health codes.

The incumbent must be trustworthy, of good moral character, and exhibit integrity.

Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
