Salary RangeFrom $84156 to $106454 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 21 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

If a viable eligible list does not exist, a provisional appointment may be made in accordance with Civil Service Law. Candidates who accept a provisional appointment must have taken the most recent competitive examination and be reachable on the resultant eligible list in order to be considered for permanent appointment to the position. One year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Senior Administrative Analyst.
Duties Description The incumbent will report to the Office of Interoperable and Emergency Communications (OIEC). Duties include but are not limited to:
•Create, maintain, and provide annual and quarterly reports of OIEC data to the Agency for review.
•Receive and review correspondence sent to OIEC and distribute appropriately; to include Federal Communications Commission (FCC), licensure agreements, partner Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), grant related functions, and general inquiries.
•Prepare comprehensive reports on issues that require management’s attention. Perform research and gather internal and external information from program and administrative areas, other state agencies, governmental publications, etc. Make recommendations to address operations that affect the agency, staff, program, and constituents.
•Disseminate information on behalf of the Director to the appropriate units in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures new procedures are clearly defined and carried out completely and accurately.
•Coordinate and manage quarterly statutory required meetings.
•Provide scheduling and daily organizational management to assist the Director of OIEC.
•Ensure records retention and retrieval systems are established and maintained in accordance with agency policy and operational needs.
•Act as a liaison with other Local, State and Federal partners to keep communication contact and operational readiness.
•Participate in agency related programs to keep unit up to date of new practices, policies, and procedures.
•Coordinate and track unit related purchases and contracts.
•May be asked to travel in support of OIEC's Communication Training Unit (COMU) or in support of field operations during activations and planned events.
•May be asked to provide support to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or field staff during emergencies under the ESF-2 function or as assigned by the division.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required.
•Occasional travel (20%) is required.
Additional Comments NOTE: Support of operations during times of emergency and disaster from State Emergency Operations Center (EOC), state field offices and/or local deployments may be required, which would result in a change and/or increase in working hours, locations and/or duties.
