Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.

Under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner for Technology for DOT (M6 Manager Information Systems), within the Dedicate Support/DOT/DOT Division/Bureau/Section, the position will be responsible for the day-to-day business relationship between ITS and DOT, including oversight of the ITS project management and business analysis functions in support of new technology needs for the agency.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Establish and maintain a constructive relationship between the ITS dedicated team for DOT, other ITS shared services units, and DOT business units based on understanding DOT and their business drivers.
• Communicate and advise DOT on ITS policies and services; communicate and advise ITS management of DOT technical needs, concerns, and issues.
• Responsible for DOT intake and demand management, which includes the ITS/DOT work intake process that focuses on the identification, categorization, and prioritization of needs (governance).
• Ensure coordination between various ITS and DOT information security stakeholders regarding IT security risk management and mitigation.
• Oversee Project Management, Business Analysis, and business functions for ITS in support of DOT.
• Adhere to all state and ITS policies, and agency information bulletins. Conducts himself/herself in a way to model agency values: customer-driven, integrity, innovation, professionalism, accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties.

Minimum Qualifications Eight years of information technology experience*, or project management experience, including two years of supervisory experience.

*An associate’s degree in any field may substitute for one year of experience; a bachelor’s degree in any field may substitute for two years of experience.

*Information technology experience includes computer programming, network,
server, storage, and systems management; telecommunications, IT customer support and training; computer installation, diagnosis, and repair; technical writing; computer security; knowledge management; database administration, design and management; internet/intranet development, design, and maintenance; information technology project management; design and development of geographic information systems or computer aided drafting applications; computer programming; business/systems analysis; program design; or program testing.
