Duties Description The Student Assistant will:

• Monitoring Configuration:
- Assist in configuring Dynatrace monitoring for various applications (web, mobile, cloud, etc.).
- Learn and implement best practices for instrumenting applications with Dynatrace agents.
- Help define and configure key performance indicators (KPIs) and alerts within the Dynatrace platform.

• Data Analysis & Troubleshooting:
- Analyze performance data collected by Dynatrace to identify performance bottlenecks and anomalies.
- Assist in troubleshooting application performance issues using Dynatrace data and other relevant tools.
- Create basic reports and dashboards to visualize application performance trends.

• Process Improvement:
- Participate in discussions and contribute ideas for improving application performance and monitoring processes.
- Assist in documenting and maintaining monitoring procedures and best practices.

• Support & Training:
- Provide basic support to developers and other team members on using Dynatrace features.
- Assist in creating and delivering basic training materials on Dynatrace usage. Technical Skills (Depending on Student Assistant Background):

• Programming/Scripting:
- Basic scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, etc.) can be valuable for automating tasks or interacting with Dynatrace APIs.

• Cloud Platforms:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial as many applications run in cloud environments.

• Networking Fundamentals:
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., protocols, TCP/IP) can aid in troubleshooting performance issues.

Minimum Qualifications • Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.

Additional Comments This position can be part time or full time.
