Duties Description The incumbent of this position will work in HR Operations managing several teams responsible for processing HR transactions for a group of BSC customer agencies. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and presenting recommendations to improve BSC processes and enhance the BSC customer agency experience. The incumbent will supervise the day-to-day activities of the assigned team. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
• Lead the assigned team in providing exceptional customer service.
• Communicate and interact with key stakeholders and customers to understand their needs, propose appropriate solutions and guide them through a resolution.
• Address systematic issues raised by customers and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
• Coordinate and participate in the preparation of work plans for streamlining services, including identifying key deliverables and critical dates.
• Instill a performance-based culture by performing a daily review of service line performance metrics and management reports and using that information to manage daily assignments and work with the assigned teams.
• Identify performance issues and leading the team in developing and implementing solutions to correct them.
• Coach and direct staff in the performance of their duties, leading daily huddles and soliciting feedback from the team.
• Develop and implement training plans and programs for employees and customers.
• Serve as the Service Line Lead for annual programs, special projects and standard work updates associated with the assigned team.
• Coordinate and approve customer agency announcements based upon control agency bulletins and guidance.

Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 25/M-1 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
