The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced litigator to serve in the Buffalo Regional Office. The Regional Office represents the state, its agencies, and officers in a wide range of federal and state court litigation, as well as handles consumer, charities, and social and economic justice matters.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience, preferably including experience in federal courts. Applicants must be capable of handling all phases of an investigation and litigation, from commencement through trial, and must have strong writing, analytical, organizational, negotiation and supervisory skills. Familiarity with the Court of Claims and/or Mental Hygiene Law is also a plus.

Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York state and be admitted to practice law in New York state. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that OAG attorneys be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.
