Duties Description Under the direction of the Business Office Administration supervisor within the Dedicated Support/DOL/DOL, the incumbent will be a member of the Business Office Administration team. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Digital Marketing & Public Engagement specialist to be able to share our technical achievements and translate complex digital initiatives into compelling, accessible narratives for a broad audience (such as the public, award committees, and state agencies). The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that highlight our team's accomplishments, enhance our online presence, and drive meaningful engagement with the public. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy that showcases technical projects, milestones, and their impact on constituents. This includes creating engaging content such as blog posts, social media updates, infographics, slide deck presentations, and short videos.
Collaborate with internal communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and amplify digital PR efforts.
Identify compelling stories within the technical teams' work that demonstrate direct benefits to NYS.
Work closely with technical leads, project managers, and Executive and Senior leadership to understand new initiatives and identify opportunities for public communication.
Minimum Qualifications • Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.
Additional Comments This position can be part time or full time.
