Duties Description Assignment: Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager and Director of Technology, the Technical Manager serves as the statewide IT endpoint infrastructure manager. The Technical Manager collaborates with and provides direction to all IT staff across the New York State Unified Court System to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of the NYS Court System’s IT infrastructure. The position oversees computer endpoint administration, software patching, Active Directory and Entra ID policy management, equipment procurement and distribution, and enterprise software license management.

Key Responsibilities
• Technical Operations: Manage endpoint administration, software patching, Active Directory and Entra ID policies, equipment procurement/distribution, and enterprise software license management.
• Statewide Local Area Network (LAN) Administration: Oversee the administration, security, and performance of LANs across all state court locations.
• Security Policy Enforcement: Play a critical role in the implementation of UCS statewide security standards and policies, ensuring compliance and best practices.
• IT Governance Policy Compliance: Participate in the development and enforcement of IT governance policies, ensuring consistent implementation of DoTCR policies and addressing compliance issues proactively.
• Resource Management: Lead, mentor, supervise and evaluate staff performance, reallocate resources as needed, and provide training and motivation to foster professional growth and maximize productivity.


Minimum Qualifications JG-30 TECHNICAL MANAGER
BASE SALARY: $123,228 + Location Pay
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of related technical experience; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience.

Additional Comments LOCATION: Statewide - Positions may be assigned to locations based on the selected applicants.

LOCATION PAY: +$4,920 (NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland)
+$2,460 (Dutchess, Putnam, Orange Counties)
