Duties Description The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, updating Slate CRM with data pertaining to daily visitors, and assisting with special groups and departmental visits. It is also expected that this person will keep the lobby neat and inviting for all admissions visitors, review the admissions generic email address, and process invitations for events as needed and under the direction of other office staff. Minimum Qualifications Must be eligible for permanent appointment to this title pursuant to civil service law.

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.

Additional Comments As part of a dynamic team in the student-centered office of Admissions, this position will ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for callers and walk-in traffic while completing other clerical duties. The department focuses on attracting and enrolling a qualified and diverse student body to SUNY Plattsburgh through a variety of methods. Admissions is within the Enrollment and Student Success division which supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admissions through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success., Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body. The shift for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
