Duties Description Under the direction of the Office Services Manager, the incumbent’s duties will include but not be limited to:
• Provide overall direction to warehouse and logistics staff.
• Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the warehouse.
• Monitor work orders to assign and schedule tasks based on priority and workflow.
• Review and seek approval for requests for equipment and office supplies.
• Maintain records of agency assets using an Asset Management System.
• Manage the storage, retrieval, and destruction of agency archives.
• Coordinate the transfer and disposal of surplus property.
• Direct the use and maintenance of assigned agency equipment and vehicles.
• Work closely with Property Office and Procurement Office regarding work orders and equipment requests.
• Perform the full range of supervisory duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications NY HELPS Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications:
Six years of experience, including two at a supervisory level, in at least two of the following office services: property or space management, warehouse and inventory operations, purchasing, fleet or parking management, telecommunications, mail room operations, printing, or records management and retention.
An associate degree can substitute for two years of specialized experience; a bachelor’s degree can substitute for four years of experience; a master’s degree in a related field can substitute for five years of experience; and a doctorate in a related field can substitute for six years of experience.

Reassignment Qualifications:
Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in an Assistant Office Services Manager, if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Assistant Office Services Manager eligible list for this location, if one exists.
52.6 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 16 or higher determined to be administrative by Civil Service.
70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 16 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.
70.4 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Grade 16 or higher and a passing score on Assistant Office Services Manager. Note: Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evenings and/or out-stationed assignments.
Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
