Duties Description Under the supervision of a Print Equipment Operator 2 (Digital):
- Set up digital printing machines by loading supplies and making routine adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Perform trial runs of printed materials to verify that settings are accurate, and output meets quality standards.
- Observe the printing process during production to ensure material flows smoothly and machines operate correctly, stopping the machine if malfunctions occur.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, oiling machine surfaces, and adjusting components to maintain optimal machine performance. Maintain maintenance logs.
- Support the operation of additional equipment used in the printing process, such as cutters, binders, and folders.
- Pull supplies from stock and track inventory for print jobs.
- Record production figures and any issues encountered during the printing process to help improve future operations.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for self and coworkers.
- Help prepare outgoing mail and packages, ensuring proper addressing and labeling, shrink wrapping, as well as sorting incoming mail for distribution.
- Demonstrate high customer service skills and teamwork
- Be familiar with standard operating procedures for printing and mailroom tasks to enhance skill development and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to bend, lift, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders

There are no minimum education or experience requirements, however, you must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 6 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

Additional Comments Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
