Salary RangeFrom $41500 to $42000 Annually
Duties Description The position requires the following duties:
• Produce and host radio and television interview programs.
• Acquire and distribute radio sound bites to newsrooms.
• Coordinate FTP distribution of materials to television newsrooms.
• Oversee and assist with remote location recordings.
• Develop programming for Cable TV & the Assembly website.
• Edit comments from legislative proceedings for Assembly website, news feeds and other purposes.
• Keep up to date on daily print and electronic news on issues and Assembly members.
• Research various legislative issues for radio and television productions.
• Occasional night and weekend work and travel required.
• Create time stamps for Assembly proceedings
Minimum Qualifications Experience and special skills needed:
• Experience in broadcast interviewing, speaking and writing.
• Computer based audio editing.
• Computer based video editing helpful.
• 4-year degree in communications or journalism preferred.
• Newsroom experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or interest in politics preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency a plus but not required.
