Duties Description Candidate will be required to perform necessary functions for the Ray Brook Office buildings and grounds.
Such duties will include:
- Daily cleaning of building offices and bathrooms including: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping ,cleaning and sanitizing.
- Daily / weekly garbage and recycling receptacle emptying.
- Operation of a variety of hand / power tools and motorized equipment, including self propelled and stationary machinery.
- Ensure that all motorized equipment is in good working condition.
- Assist in snow removal including operation of shovels, salter, plows, snowblower and sweeper.
- Year round grounds maintenance including mowing, weed whacking, raking and trimming.
- General grounds and maintenance assignments including, cleaning, painting, moving of office equipment, small repairs, and equipment upkeep.
- Staff the Ray Brook office mail loading dock to receive deliveries and daily mail.
- Assist with vehicle pool cleaning, issuance and movement to repair shops.
- Keep written records of work performed and materials / labor used.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, and have a valid driver’s license.
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Overtime may be required.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response.
Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
