Duties Description Plumbing; This position will require experience in public and potable water systems as well as sewer systems in the facilities located in and around the Warrensburg Working circle. This will include seasonal start up and close down of these systems.
Electrical: requires basic knowledge of primary and secondary grids within our facilities. Candidate must have the ability to address problems and make repairs as needed.
Carpentry: position requires experience in all facets of Carpentry. Layout, design and purchasing of material. Understanding structural details and blue prints is
required. Identifying building codes and compliance is necessary in order to meet mandates. Obtaining quotes and following purchasing guidelines is required
Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Overtime may be required.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response.
Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
