Duties Description • Assist the staff and staff director in preparing presentation material for use in internal and external agency meetings
• Proficiency in PC and web applications such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite,
• Help write, proofread, and edit letters, documents, and more
• Update, organize and add to NYMTC NYCTCC’s contacts and email distribution lists
• Assist the staff and NYCTCC members identify and enter project location information into Project Tracker, and mapping multiple project locations
• Assist staff director in updating and tracking project status in Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications Must have completed at least 12 credit hours of college study and be currently enrolled in an accredited program.
Skills Needed:
• An educational background in Communications, Land Use Planning and Development, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Studies or a related field; and an interest or background in stormwater management is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Proficiency in PC and web applications such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), Google Earth, ArcGIS
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
