Duties Description • Research current transportation planning topics using all available sources such as internet, agency library, etc. Develop summary information on the topics including documentation of sources.

• Perform data analysis or data reduction using databases and spreadsheets.

• Communicate with other organizations as directed.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access, or of similar spreadsheet or database software is helpful.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications Must have completed at least 12 credit hours of college study and be currently enrolled in an accredited program.

Skills Needed:
• An educational background in transportation engineering, transportation planning or computer science
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and data manipulation
• Logical/critical thinking skills
• Quantitative analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Additional Comments Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
