Duties Description Under the direction of a Project Manager 5, SG-29, within the Division of Dedicated Support, Bureau and Section of Office of General Services (OGS), the Information Technology Architect 1 (Solution) will collaborate with the Lead Architect to develop a comprehensive technology roadmap to address substantial technical debt. The incumbent will partner with developers to establish strategies that institutionalize low-code product development, enhancing agility and scalability. Additionally, the incumbent will design solutions to integrate on-premises and cloud-based systems to ensure seamless interoperability.
Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Design cloud solutions that support our customers’ business systems, shared services, and agency customers.
• Design solution deliverables to meet business needs while complying with constraints.
• Translate business, non-functional, and policy requirements into secure technical architecture.
• Ensure capability alignment with architecture standards and IT strategies.
• Develop reference architecture and design, ensuring reusable and scalable solution components.
• Produce and maintain solution architecture design.
Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: Six years* of information technology experience, four years of which must be in the appropriate specialty**.

If eligible, positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay with regular annual salary. Positions located in the Mid-Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
