Duties Description Position Summary:
The University at Buffalo’s Human Resources department is looking for an Office Assistant 2 to add, update and maintain employee appointment information in our university human resource information systems.

On a daily basis, for assigned position types, you can expect to:
• Verify and process personnel transactions
• Data enter appointment information into SUNY HR
• Provide assistance to our campus community through the initiation of transactions

As a part of our team, you will be supported by fellow members of the appointment’s team performing similar tasks as well as a department lead and head to ensure your success in both the role you are hired into as well as future goals you may wish to obtain. We are located in Townsend Hall, a newly refurbished building that reopened in 2021 and houses the University at Buffalo’s Human Resources staff.

One year of clerical experience

• Transfer Eligibility Requirement: You must have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title.
• Reassignment Requirement: You must hold the same title at the University at Buffalo.
• Reinstatement Requirement: You must be a former state employee to request reinstatement to the title that was held (or transferable title).
