Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of experience in a position allocated to Salary Grade 6 or above in the Office of Children and Family Services. OR

High school diploma and one (1) year of experience in a communications unit responsible for the relay of information on the transport of individuals in custody, reports or possible illegal activity, or issues of public safety.

Duties Description Issue and cancel warrants and detainers through the NYSPIN system in regard to Office of Children and Family Services custody of youth.

Act as the on-call services for Office of Children and Family Services executive and operations personnel during off-business hours, forwarding necessary information to Community Multi Services, Detention/Voluntary Agencies, the Public Information Office, Executive Office, and other Bureau of Classification and Movement units, as necessary.

Insure that all necessary information within the Central Communications Unit (CCU) is gathered and reported accurately in an ACCESS data base and that all necessary reports, both written and verbal, are forwarded to appropriate Agency personnel.

Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Additional Comments Non Qualifying Experience: Includes dispatching for fleet management (i.e. taxis, limousine, and car service), roadside assistance, and private security guard work.
