Minimum Qualifications Applicant must pass a typing test and be able to accurately (95%) type 30 words per minute. Documentation must be provided that, within the last five years, you have been successful on a five-minute typing performance test. Documentation of the test results must be on official letterhead or an official notice of the results of a typing test administered by an acceptable source: Personnel offices of State agencies, county, city, town or village municipalities which administer the Type Test developed by the Department of Civil Service OR from a school, college, university or learning institution. Official test results from a high school, college or university keyboarding course*. Official test results from BOCES or EEOC program*.
Experience with Microsoft Office Word is preferred.
Duties Description Type and format business correspondence, reports, forms, charts and other material to produce a final copy that is accurate, grammatically correct and ready for final distribution; copy, scan and distribute final work products; operate standard office machines; answer high volume telephones and direct callers to appropriate staff and program areas; open, sort, log and distribute mail; transmit & receive electronic mail; maintain manual and automated files; photocopy; register and greet visitors.
Additional Comments This is a part-time, 30 hour per week, seasonal position through March 31, 2019. Program needs and/or funding will determine the actual termination date of the position which may be prior to the date indicate here.
