Minimum Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Baccalaureate degree required.
Two years of professional residence hall experience required.
Preferred Requirements
In addition to the aforementioned minimum requirements, the ideal candidate will also have:
A Master's degree in Student Personnel Services, Human Services or a related field, that is completed or underway
A track record of accomplishments in the residential life/student affairs area that demonstrates leadership competencies
Duties Description Support the College's mission by active involvement in student personal growth and development, both within and outside the residence halls. Specific responsibilities include live-in supervision of a complex of two to four campus residence halls housing approximately 400 students, and direct involvement in the management aspects of the central Residential Life Office.
Duties include counseling, educational programming, RA selection and training, individual and group advisement, administration/management responsibilities, campus committee involvement, support and enforcement of college policies and procedures. The AD/RD will participate in a campus-wide residence hall supervision schedule during the entire term of the appointment.
The Assistant Director of Residential Life / Residence Hall Director is part of a team of 12 full-time professionals within the Residential Life Office.
Additional Comments The salary grade for this position is grade SL-3. Salary for this position is $41,000.
An apartment and on-campus meal plan are included.
The anticipated start date for this position is January 2019 (or shortly thereafter).
