Minimum Qualifications Four years of full time experience in heating system repair and service under a skilled journey-level heating repair technician or skilled or semi-skilled experience in commercial and residential plumbing and a valid driver's license.

Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to:
servicing oil burners and liquid propane and natural gas systems; changes filters as needed; troubleshoot functional problems in electrical and heating systems, identify and locate the causes of those problems and repairs the systems as necessary; carry out safety inspections on all heating systems and determine need for repairs and servicing, carries out and directs subordinate staff in the maintenance, repair and servicing of such systems; install boiler and furnace electrical systems and equipment; make necessary repairs subsequent to installation of components; cut and thread various types of pipe using appropriate power tools and benders;
perform plumbing repairs in park buildings and residences; perform winterization and closing down ; reactivation and starting up of plumbing systems; may be required to load and unload materials, tools and equipment of varying weights and sizes as required in the performance of duties assigned; operate light trucks and passenger vehicles to get to various facilities in the performance of duties.
