MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List, Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) or OPWDD’s Central Office Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT). Appointment will be made at the traineeship level.
Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This Position is an integral part of the OPWDD Home and Community Based (HCBS) 1915c Comprehensive Waiver team and is the technical assistance lead with regards to the OPWDD Comprehensive HCBS Waiver. The Waiver is a $5 billion agreement with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The position will assist in supporting numerous policy, analytical and operational initiatives within the Waiver/Managed Care Unit. Over the past year, the Waiver/Managed Care Unit has broadened its scope to support OPWDD’s transition to care management programs in a variety of ways. In addition, the incumbent will also be part of a team that is involved with the Community First Choice Option (CFCO) initiative and the related proposed Waiver/State Plan service changes.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Triaging technical assistance/policy guidance inquiries, including the review of technical assistance requests from self-advocates, individuals, families, stakeholders, and outside parties in connection with the OPWDD Comprehensive HCBS Waiver.
• Support numerous policy, analytical and operational initiatives within the Waiver/Managed Care Unit as assigned.
