Minimum Qualifications Must have a valid license and registration to practice dentistry in New York State. Two-years of full time, professional dentistry experience, and candidates must also have kept abreast of current developments in dentistry though the completion of continuing education in the amount of at least 150 hours post-graduate education units. This continuing education must have been of the quality and quantity required for continued membership in the American Academy of General Dentistry.
Duties Description As a Dentist 2 you would have responsibility, usually under the advisory direction of a higher ranking dentist, for regular examinations, treatment and complete dental care of patients in the State Facility. You may be the only dentist in a very small installation of facility. Duties and organizational content are similar to those of Dentist 1 except this level recognizes the more advanced practitioner.
