Minimum Qualifications An interest in the field of criminal justice and/or re-entry reform.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or similar experience
A minimum of two year’s volunteer or professional experience in the field of criminal justice and/or prisoner re-entry.
Comfort with public speaking and presenting to large groups.
Proficiency at producing timely research and well-written reports.
Comfort with multi-tasking and short deadlines.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office platform, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Duties Description The Program Associate to the Council is one of two full-time Council staff within the Governor’s Office and reports directly to the Council’s Executive Director. The Program Associate assists the Executive Director with the work of the Council, including, but not limited to, conducting research projects, including legal research, communicating with Council Members and constituents, presenting information in group settings, drafting, editing and finalizing various legislative, policy, press, and administrative documents, and planning the Council’s meetings. The Program Associate is also in charge of several data tracking projects, and manages updates to the Council’s website. In addition to working with the Reentry Council team, the Program Associate is also in frequent communication with other Executive agencies.
