Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list for Associate Director of Training 1 Addictions ~ OR ~ be eligible for a 52.6 transfer (i.e. Training Specialist 2 Addictions) ~ OR~ provisional appointment by meeting the following qualifications: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s or higher-level degree and five years of experience in staff development and training in the addictions field. This experience must include developing addictions-specific curricula and organizing and delivering training programs to human services professionals. Qualifying training experience must have been exclusively or predominately in the area of addictions and/or substance abuse.

Duties Description The Manager of the Learning and Development and Impaired Driving Services Units will have direct oversight and responsibility for:
• Education and Training Provider Certification Process
• Review/approval of coursework for initial and continuing education credentialing requirements
• Online Training Catalog
• Train the Trainer Process
• Development, dissemination, scoring and monitoring of all Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to training initiatives
• Delivery of Regional, In-Person and Online Educational Coursework
• OASAS approved Impaired Driving Clinical Providers
• Training and monitoring of Impaired Driving Service guidelines;
• Databases, Learning Management Systems and other applications related to Learning and Development and Impaired Driving Services
• Representing OASAS’ needs to the Northeast Caribbean Addiction Technology Transfer Center
• Serving on the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee’s (GTSC’s) Impaired Driving Committees and associated sub-committees
• Chairing the GTSC Impaired Driving Subcommittee on Assessment and Treatment
• Supervision of Direct Reports and Supervisors for each Unit
• Other duties as assigned.
