Salary RangeFrom $66925 to $66925 Annually
Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate must have a current license and be registered to practice as a registered professional nurse or licensed physician in New York State. It is preferred that the candidate have had three years of registered nursing experience or licensed physician experience in one or more of the following areas: Obstetrics/Gynecology, Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine or Medical/Surgical.
Duties Description • Analyze and review claims for medical malpractice.
• Assist attorneys in the preparation and defense of medical malpractice cases.
• Review medical records.
• Draft memorandum that outlines the medical treatment rendered, to determine if appropriate care was rendered.
• Research medical topics or other literature searches relevant to the possible action.
• Assist attorneys and others on medical issues and on communication with medical staff and risk managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Comments $3,026.00 in location pay will be added to the salary listed.
