Minimum Qualifications Applicants must possess five (5) or more years of experience in complex litigation—including participating in trials or evidentiary hearings, and experience with electronic discovery and motion practice— as well as excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the Office be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.
Duties Description The New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) seeks a dedicated attorney with litigation experience to serve in the Executive Division in the New York City office. Specifically, the qualified and dynamic applicant selected for this position will assist the Office in prosecuting its lawsuit against manufacturers and distributors of opioids for their role in the opioid epidemic. This epidemic has taken hundreds of thousands of lives and devastated families and communities across New York State.
