Minimum Qualifications Proficient use of office software systems, including Microsoft Office suite, and experience navigating database software is required. Ability to work independently and as a team member with strong attention to detail is required. Strong mathematical, verbal and written communication skills preferred.
Minimum of an Associate’s degree with two years of professional experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Three years of active United States military service with an honorable discharge may be used to satisfy the minimum education requirement.
Must have valid driver’s license. Occasional overnight travel and working at other District offices may be required.
Duties Description The Hudson River – Black River Regulating District (Regulating District), a New York State public benefit corporation, is accepting applications for Administrative Assistant. These vacancies exist in the Regulating District’s Albany and Mayfield offices.
The Administrative Assistant must be able to adapt to frequently changing assignments and handle multiple duties simultaneously while performing a wide variety of administrative and technical tasks. These may include, but are not necessarily limited to, maintenance of the Regulating District’s Access Permit System Database the gathering and recording of technical data on a daily basis; the preparation, updating and dissemination of certain reports and other documents; creating, scanning and maintaining electronic and paper files; supporting certain financial transactions; maintenance of filing system and records; customer support and communication; development of content and posting to social media channels; completing mail logs, distributing mail, preparing certified mail and UPS packages; scheduling meetings; making travel arrangements and completing expense reports/ travel reimbursement requests; answering telephones and handling inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner; ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory; coordinating maintenance of office equipment as required; other duties as required.
