Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. You must be physically able to perform the duties assigned.

Past experience with game birds strongly preferred. Animal husbandry or past agricultural experience also preferred. Must be able to drive/operate trucks and tractors with trailers, and be able to complete tasks independently and in a timely manner. Must be able to work a rotating weekend/holiday work schedule.

Duties Description Responsible for the daily care and tasks associated with raising ring-necked pheasants. These tasks may include but are not limited to feeding, watering, pen maintenance, grounds maintenance and care. Delivering adult pheasants to locations throughout NYS. This position requires a close attention to detail, precise record keeping and an ability to keep up in a fast paced environment.

Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and in adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointments with a duration of 7/1/19 through 12/1/19. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to date listed. Actual work schedule, duties, and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
