Minimum Qualifications 1. Must currently be a permanent LMSW 2;
OR
2. Must be active and reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for LMSW 2;
OR
3. Eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to the LMSW 2 by the Department of Civil Service (Must also be within 2 salary grades of the targeted title).
4. Qualified for provisional appointment.
NOTE: Provisional appointments will only be considered if there are insufficient in-Title and/or Civil Service List candidates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT:
Either A. licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) AND have one year of post NYS licensure professional social work experience;**
Or B. licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Registration and licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor is not considered qualifying for these examinations.
** Professional social work experience involves activities such as screening, assessing and diagnosing individuals' and families' psychosocial needs, strengths and limitations; participating in the development of treatment plans and discharge plans; counseling and educating individuals, groups and families to promote mental, emotional, physical and social functioning; helping access needed services; providing client/patient advocacy and crisis intervention; and developing, coordinating and evaluating services and support systems. Experience limited to social work research or social work administration is NOT considered qualifying.

Duties Description They LMSW 2 will provide support in the Community Funding/Self-Direction Team, which oversees Family Support Services (FSS) contracts, ISS housing Contracts and Assistive Support Prices.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 2, SG-25, the LMSW 2, SG-20, will be performing the following duties:
• Oversee ISS housing Contracts and Assistive Support Prices.
• Assist with the Self Direction review and approvals of initial, cost neutral amendments and amended budgets.
• Maintain contact with multiple ISS housing agencies for guidance and assistance.
• Work with agencies on unit reconciliation and questions as needed throughout the year.
• Review and update documentation submitted at least once annually from all ISS agencies.
• Perform revisions throughout the year to reflect changes to individual budgets that impact the agency’s overall contract or Price.
• Special projects as needed.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
