Minimum Qualifications 1. Two (2) years of satisfactory secretarial experience; OR
2. Satisfactory completion of a two (2) year course in secretarial science from a business school registered with the NYS Education Department or from a NYS community college or technical institute recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable practices; OR
3. A satisfactory combination of 1 and 2 above
Duties Description This position is in the Executive Offices of the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation. The position is responsible for day-to day operations of the office; including, but not limited to, the scheduling of meetings, coordinating and processing Executive Office travel; and phone and electronic email monitoring. This position works as part of a team to provide sufficient office coverage and administrative support to the Commissioner and all Executive Staff.

The candidate for this position must work well under pressure, be a self-starter, maintain confidentiality, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel and good typing/computer skills are preferred.
