Duties Description This position is in the Bureau of Immunization Clinical Unit with duties primarily related to ensuring accountability and accuracy of local health department (LHD) reports and facilitating communication between the public and the Clinical Unit. Duties include: review electronic laboratory, vaccine-preventable disease and perinatal hepatitis B case management reports and flag overdue or incomplete reports for review by nursing staff; review online Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) reports, cross-reference with quarterly LHD contract reports, and flag overdue or incomplete reports and inconsistencies between online IQIP reports and quarterly contract reports for review by nursing staff; communicate with NYSDOH regional staff and LHD staff regarding overdue and incomplete reports and follow-up actions needed; provide technical assistance and monitor follow-up; monitor a Bureau-run email account, sort emails by subject matter, forward to subject matter experts, and respond to emails as directed by Clinical Unit staff; provide technical assistance to healthcare providers in the completion of online surveys; assist in the development and implementation of IQIP training modules and education for LHD staff; other related duties may be assigned.
