Minimum Qualifications •DVM/VMD degree with the ability to be licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in New York and must be verified by NYS Office of the Professions within 10 months of employment.
•3 years applicable professional/clinical experience
•Valid unrestricted drivers license at the time of appointment
•Enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate Veterinary Technology students is of the utmost importance
•Soft skills required include excellent written and oral communication skills, computer proficiency, and collaborative style.

Preferred Qualifications

Duties Description SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging Veterinary Science Faculty member to join the School of Veterinary & Applied Sciences. Delhi's Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Science Technology program began in 1961 and is the first vet tech program in the US. Delhi is proud to offer the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Veterinary Technology, which is one of 22 programs in the US accredited by the AVMA to offer a BS in Veterinary Technology. The Vet Sci Team is made up of 5 full-time veterinarians and 14 Licensed Vet Techs. The program has small and large animal teaching facilities with a wide variety of animals including a closed primate colony. We are the largest program in New York State and are slated for continued growth with a 25 million dollar renovation of our small animal laboratories and holding facilities. Primary duties of the faculty member are teaching assigned courses offered by the Veterinary Science Technology Department as part of the AAS and BS degree programs. Teaching responsibilities may include traditional classroom lecture, laboratory instruction, and online (or hybrid) coursework. Additional duties include veterinary care for college animals, student advisement, curriculum development, participation in department and college functions, and committee work. This is a full-time tenure track position with an academic year obligation (10 months).
